A new file format called ".red", integrated to Redsdk and the CG workflowThe .red file format supports all the
engine features that can now be saved to disk or loaded from it. The .red file format has been
optimized to deliver high streaming performances and to be small on disk. It’s a container based
model that can be extended to support user data. All kind of animations are supported by the .red file
and stored in an optimized, compressed manner. |

3D textures supportRedsdk now fully supports 3D textures inside its shading API. You can integrate 3D textures to set 3D procedural effects like noise for example or any other effect which can still be combined with the other Redsdk built-in or custom shaders. |

Reflection background shaderThe Reflection background shader is a post-lighting shader used to simulate the effect of a background environment visible behind the scene. Using this shader, there’s no longer the need for the modeling of a hemispheric sky environment over a scene. |
