Yes. Redway3d offers a 4week evaluation period of Redsdk, free of charge. The Redsdk evaluation version is a 100% fully functional Redsdk release. You can ask for an evaluation by feeling the form.
Redsdk is proposed according to a royalty-free business model. You pay a Redsdk license based on a project you define together with Redway3d. Redway3d can propose 3 different Redsdk maintenance options which remain optional.
The Redsdk maintenance is project based but remains optional. Redway3d offers 3 different maintenance options, simply called maintenance option #1, maintenance option #2 and maintenance option #3. All these option modes include the technical support. There is no technical support provided without maintenance.
With the Redsdk maintenance option #1, Redway3d offers a full email and phone support. In case of issues/bugs, workarounds are provided immediately but software patches & bugs corrections are integrated only in the next Redsdk release. Customers receive all new Redsdk versions, as long as their maintenance option #1 is valid. Customers must upgrade their software with the latest Redsdk release if they wish to continue to receive some technical support from Redway3d.
The Redsdk maintenance option #2 offers all the benefits of the Redskd maintenance option #1, plus the immediate delivery of software patches in case of issues/bugs. This way customers do not have to wait for the next Redsdk release to receive their bug fixes. Customers must still upgrade their software when they receive a newer Redsdk release to continue to get technical support for Redway3d.
The Redsdk maintenance option #3 offers all the benefits of the Redsdk maintenance option #2, plus the fact customers do not have to upgrade anymore when they receive a new Redsdk release to continue to get technical support from Redway3d. In this mode, Redway3d freezes the Redsdk version which has been retained by each customer to provide technical support as well as bugs corrections/patches based on this specific release. In the same time each customer receives new Redsdk releases and can start working on them for R&D purposes. For Redway3d, it means two Redsdk releases are maintained in parallel, the one the customer chooses to "freeze" and the latest Redsdk version available.
In this mode, customers can change their "frozen" Redsdk version at any time. Redway3d will provide all the benefits of the Redsdk maintenance option #3 based on the newly "frozen" Redsdk version. Customers can stay with a "frozen" Redsdk version for how long as they want, there is no time limit.
Please note Redway3d will not develop new features based on "frozen" releases. The purpose of a "frozen" Redsdk release is more to make an existing set of functionnalities run on a new hardware to solve software and harware maintenance issues.
You can freeze as many Redsdk releases as you own option #3 maintenance for a given project.
